Abstract:With the comprehensive interpretation of 3-D seismic and drilling data in Zhenyuan-Jingchuan survey,we analyze the distribution, formation period, stress nature of the strike-slip faults, and its oil-control effect on the Chang-8 reservoir, and obtain the following observations:1The NEE-NNE X conjugate faults were formed under the NE-trending compressive forces during the Indosinian period, the NW-SE and NE-SW strike-slip faults were formed under the SE dextral shear forces during Yanshanian periods, the NEE trending faults are stronger than the NNE trending faults; 2The strike-slip faults can be divided into 3 classes, the class Ⅰ strike-slip faults cut the strata from the Ordovician through the Cretaceous, which developed two sets of the upright shear faults in the NW and the NEE directions. The Class Ⅱ strike-slip faults disconnected the strata from the internal Triassic through the Cretaceous, extending in the NE direction. The Class Ⅲ strike-slip faults cut through the strata from the Ordovician to the internal Permian, extending in the NEE direction; 3High-yielding wells are distributed along the Class Ⅰ strike-slip faults, and the water or oil-water layers are distributed along Class Ⅱ and Class Ⅲ strike-slip faults.
